You might want to use one of your final blog posts to say something about these speeches after viewing them.
That poor "Star Wars Kid" is the subject of more visually exquisite parody:
This is the best internet video mashup evar: the Star Wars Kid (a net-icon famous for having captured his Darth Maul light-staff fights on video, thus becoming the subject of Internet mockery, which led to a really bogus lawsuit) matted extremely well into the Kill Bill trailer. Grew up in Middle Tennessee. Grad school in Austin, Texas. Ph. D. is in rhetoric from the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Texas. I taught at Denison University in Ohio for three years prior to arriving at Marymount Manhattan College. I am interested in communication technologies from ancient times into the future. I think the alphabet is a cool technology--glad it's "open source." I'm happy to be in NYC and to use the city as a classroom.
