COMM 101 Assignment for Monday:
Arrangement / Style
OUTLINE: Construct an outline of your deliberative speech with at least two degrees of subordination (e.g., Roman numerals, letters, and numbers). You should have an introduction and conclusion, with 2-3 main points in between. The introduction should recognize the occasion and the audience; and it should preview your thesis and the main points of your speech. The conclusion should summarize your case and leave your audience with a vision of the benefits of your plan.
SPEECH: The speech should be written out in full, and should take 3 minutes to deliver. Each group member should contribute 3 rhetorical figures from the pool of figures he or she has been responsible for over the course of the semester. The entire text of the speech should be posted to the group weblog. The figures should be indicated in some way.
